What to see in Tallinn in 1 day!

This post is a bit different...in English and about Tallinn - my home town.
As I have several friends and colleagues whom are interested touring my home town.
Below is a map and list of places what I usually show or recommend to see.

1st part of the Tallinn tour

2nd part of the Tallinn tour
Here is the list together with some links what stops I have included to the tour:
1. Rotermann Quarter

Old industrial area that has been developed lately to a wonderful area. This is my favorite area and I love taking pictures here!
2. Viru Gates - a must see in Tallinn.

3. St. Catherines Passage (Katariina käik) - This was my favorite place before they made Rotermann Quarter. Most pictures street with crafters workshops. This is a place where you can watch artist work and buy authentic souvenirs.

From here you can go to the Freedom Square but I have not included this on my map.
9. Toompea Hill is where our Parliment is working. You will also see Tall Hermann with our most important flag.
In Toompea we have also our most popular Russian church called St.Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

12. Open air market and Telliskivi Creative City.
Behind the Railway station there is a open air market. It is a great place to grab something to eat or visit some Estonian small design / crafters shop on the 2nd floor. This is also an entrance to the young and crafty side of Estonia sometime also called "Hipster-ville". This would be a great place to buy really authentic souvenirs from Estonia.

If you happen to have some more time in Tallinn then there are many more places to see and discover!
